Clients & Projects
Current & Past
As a senior analyst at Ed First Consulting and SRI Education, Veronica provided research for a variety of clients, including major foundations, large urban school districts and charter networks, and national teacher training and advocacy organizations. Her projects ranged from multisite impact evaluations for U.S. Department of Education grants, to more nimble developmental evaluations for programs in early stages, to landscape scans and literature reviews responding directly to client policy- and grant-making requests. A sought-after collaborator, she has also served multiple clients as an independent researcher, including prime contractors to state agencies, education consulting firms, and education support providers.

Veronica conducts observations in early childhood facilities for DC’s quality rating & improvement system and pay equity initiative, using the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-3) to assess the quality of classroom interactions and materials for children’s cognitive, physical and social-emotional development.
Maryland Initiative for Literacy and Equity (UMD and Morgan State)
With an early literacy expert reviewer, Veronica completed a report on the implementation of policy aligning instruction with the science of reading for one of MD’s largest school districts. She coordinated reviewer school visits; led teacher focus groups, analysis, and draft reporting; and presented findings to the district.
